About the authors
Nancy Feuerriegel and Geoff Shannon are passionate educators who have spent their careers helping children learn, grow, and ask big questions.Between them, they have over 60 years of teaching experience - much of it spent reading picture books aloud to curious young minds. As Learning Support Teachers, always looking for stories that spark imagination and support learning, they have worked closely with students who learn in different ways.With the book, But Why?, Nancy and Geoff have created the kind of book they always wished for in the classroom — playful, engaging, and full of heart — a story that entertains, all the while providing creative teaching opportunities.

We wrote this book for all the kids who love to ask 'Why?' –
and for all the adults who love answering with a little touch of magic.

About the artist
Marnie Feuerriegel is an Australian artist. She is a worldwide traveller and has always been inspired by nature. Marnie enjoys using exuberant colours in her work. With her paint brush, she celebrates the idea of creating imaginary worlds where things don’t have to make sense, and anything is possible!
